RJI International CPAs is a returning client. A few years ago, Caliber Signs & Imaging helped the company brand with a 3D letter brushed metal laminate lobby logo sign. This product set the tone for the company’s brand presence. Several months later, we returned to put together a building sign with contrasting colors for this client. The latest project we took on was a monument sign refurbishing in Irvine, CA.
A Look at Before & After Photos
We like using before and after photos of our projects. They illustrate the dramatic changes that an existing monument sign build undergoes with the simple replacement of a front panel with a new sign, some sanding, and expert structure repainting. Add a new color scheme and refurbish the address numbers, and the new look is dramatic.
RJI International CPAs Turn a Standard Monument Sign into an Eye-Catching Brand Extension
The existing sign featured the company’s name and address numerals. It was functional but little else. Besides that, exposure to landscape watering had caused some color to peel while it darkened the areas around the digits. For a monument sign renovation to be successful, the structure must be cleaned, and any lettering must be removed.
After doing so, our technicians sanded the structure, repaired any holes, and then repainted it in the company’s corporate blue color with a silver border where the numerals would go. In the meantime, we manufactured non-illuminated channel letters mounted to an aluminum pan. They would spell out the company’s name. We added the logo, a globe, highlighting that RJI is an international CPA organization. To get the details of the logo just right, we used a water jet to cut the pieces.
The Finished Product Proves That Sign Refurbishing is a Great Idea!
The brushed silver letters and logo contrast nicely with RJI’s corporate blue tone. Because this particular monument sign is roadside, it is highly visible from a busy road in a business park and opposite an entry/exit to a food court. As a result, its brand presentation had to be perfectly in step with the other signage we had already done for this client. Best of all, the ability to refurbish an existing sign is a money-saving opportunity for any client.
What Goes into a Successful Sign Renovation?
Before we take on the project, we inspect the structure to ensure that it is solid. This goes beyond the surface looks. As long as the sign’s overall structure is sound with an expectation of remaining this way for several years, refurbishing the sign makes a lot of sense. Once we commit to the task, our technicians will work with you to design a new sign face that encapsulates your brand message.
From there, we manufacture the style elements that go on the sign. They frequently involve three-dimensional letters, but we can also accommodate lightbox cabinets or vinyl graphics. Some clients choose to refurbish a monument sign in Irvine or anywhere in the OC to add illumination or anti-graffiti laminate to protect the signage investment.
