WHAT IS MFOUR?

Located on Hyland Avenue in Costa Mesa, MFour is a leader in mobile market research. To acquire more accurate data, reach the hardest to find audiences, and to acquire deeper insights, they leverage the innovative technologies found in the latest mobile devices using their native app. Essentially, they meet consumers where they are spending the bulk of their time: on their mobile devices. When a company that is offering such a valuable service to help businesses stay ahead of the curve in the Mobile Age came to us for custom marketing displays for Coast Mesa, CA, we were intrigued to say the least. MFour wanted us to design and build a giant iPhone case to fit over the TV that they bring with them to sales conferences. We knew this would be a challenge and were excited to take it on!

WHAT WE DID FOR MFOUR

First of all, we based our design for the case on the iPhone 5. We started by constructing a medium density overlay (MDO) wooden frame. The rest of the case used acrylic. To create the perfectly rounded corners, we were able to bend the acrylic in our shop. The sides were made from quarter inch clear acrylic finished with silver vinyl. The face consists of 1/8” acrylic: black acrylic for the outline and clear acrylic in the middle to accommodate the television.

To provide the shiny high-end appearance that people expect of Apple products, we polished all of the edges. The images for the sound, volume, and menu buttons were digitally printed using a gradient shadow effect. Finally, we custom built a strong wooden case for the finished product that fits like a glove and protects it from damage. Now, when they ship it around the United States from conference to conference, it will be protected and last for many years to come. In the end, MFour was floored by the great job we did.
